Our Black Grouse lek viewing morning will be held in April, the morning will focus on one of the most iconic and captivating spectacles of the uplands. Led by two highly knowledgeable gamekeepers, the tour centres on observing the lekking behaviour of Black Grouse at 3 different lek sites in the North Pennines.
Beyond the visual experience, the tour provides an in-depth understanding of why Black Grouse are thriving in this landscape. Attendees gain insight into their habits, breeding behaviour, and the practical land management undertaken by local estates that supports them and long-term sustainability.
A £30 donation is associated with this event, with all proceeds directed to the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT) to support their Black Grouse translocation work, an important conservation initiative aimed at strengthening populations in suitable areas.
